Two including, Mohan Limbikai, file nominations for election to Karnataka West Graduates’ constituency
Candidates have begun filing nominations for the Karnataka West Graduates’ constituency election to the Legislative Council. Congress nominee Mohan Limbikai and other independent candidates submitted their papers, with further high-profile filings expected in the coming days.

Two candidates, including Congress nominee and former MLC Mohan Limbikai, filed their nomination papers for the election to Karnataka West Graduates’ Constituency of Karnataka Legislative Council in Dharwad on Thursday.
In a release issued here, Deputy Commissioner of Dharwad and Assistant Returning Officer Snehal R. said that two nominations were received on Thursday.
The two nominations were filed by Mallikarjun Gangadhar of Dharwad district, representing the Kittur Kalyana Karnataka Sene, and Mohan Limbikai of Hubballi, representing the Indian National Congress.
On Wednesday, Shivakumar Talawar from Haveri filed two sets of nomination papers, one as independent and another as candidate of Janata Chalavali Bharat Paksha.
Speaking to reporters after filing his nomination papers, Mr. Limbikai said that he would again be filing another set of nomination papers on October 5 along with senior Congress leaders and Ministers.
