Two held with MDMA

Two persons, a ride-hailing app rider and a catering worker, were arrested, and 23 grams of MDMA was seized from them, Malkajgiri police said on Tuesday.

A case of drug peddling under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985, was registered against them.

According to the police, the accused who are friends, Mahaveer Singh, 28, and Lakshman Singh Rajpurohit, 45, who are from Rajasthan, lived in Ranigunj and Bowenpally, peddled drugs for quick money. Rajpurohit was a substance abuser too. They were found waiting for customers near the Malkajgiri Railway Station on Monday.
