Two persons have been arrested in connection with an alleged hit-and-run that killed a Delhi Traffic Police head constable at the Singhu border in Outer North district, the police said on Thursday.
The incident took place at around 6 p.m. on Wednesday when Head Constable Amit, 34, was placing a speed-monitoring device on the roadside during duty. According to the police, he was hit from behind by a speeding car.
He sustained critical injuries and was taken to Satyawadi Raja Harish Chandra Hospital in Narela, where he was declared dead on arrival.
