Two held for possession of 11 kg of ganja at Jolarpet station
Two individuals were arrested at Jolarpet railway station for possessing 11 kg of ganja during a police operation. The suspects were apprehended on a super-fast express train and are currently in custody.

Two commuters were arrested by the Government Railway Police (GRP) on an express train at Jolarpet railway station, for possession of 11 kg of ganja on Wednesday.
The police said that the arrested persons were identified as K. Prakash, 25, and his accomplice R. Sakthivel, 20. They were residents of Salem. Initial inquiry revealed that as part of a special drive against illegal transportation of narcotic substances and inflammable articles in trains under operation Narcos, police personnel were conducting surprise checks in trains.
They searched the baggage of two commuters on the Shalimar – Trivandrum Central Super-Fast Express train, and found bundles of ganja.
