Two found dead in Channarayapatna
A retired teacher and his son were found dead in their home in Channarayapatna, Hassan district. Police suspect the son murdered his father before taking his own life.

A man and his son were found dead at their residence at Gooranahalli Extension in Channarayapatna town of Hassan district on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as B.N. Channegowda, 73, a retired teacher and his son Bindu Kumar, 42, who was a taxi driver in Bengaluru. It is suspected that Bindu Kumar murdered his father before ending his life. Channegowda’s wife died a few years ago.
Hassan SP Shubhanwita visited the spot. Speaking to presspersons, the SP said that two were found dead inside the house. While Channegowda was found murdered, Bindu Kumar was in a hanging position.
Channarayapatna Police have registered a case.
