Two engineering students killed in road accident

Two students were killed and three others injured when a car by which they were travelling hit a roadside tree here.

The names of the dead were given as Gowtham of Velayuthampalayam and Madupiriya of Mohanur in Namakkal district. The injured were identified as Kamini, Anusuya, and Devadarshini. All of them were studying in a private engineering college at Thalavaipalayam. The injured were admitted to a private hospital in Karur.

The accident occurred when they were going to Karur from Thalavaipalaym. Gowtham, who drove the car, reportedly lost control of the vehicle at a curve.
