Two die, three injured in accident in Namakkal

A car collision with a parked container truck on the Salem-Namakkal National Highway resulted in two deaths and three injuries. Local police have registered a case and are currently investigating the incident.

Two persons were killed and three sustained injuries after a car collided with a truck here on Sunday night (August 23, 2026).
According to the police, P. Karthick (34), a resident of Ernapuram in Namakkal, was working as an engineer at a private company in Bengaluru. On Sunday around 10 p.m., he was headed to Salem by car. His brother P. Aravind (32), friends R. Rohitson (26), Jithendran (28) and Jagath (32) were also in the car.
