Two children on Sunday (August 2, 2026) adopted a gharial, two Indian rock pythons, and a macaw under the Animal Adoption Programme of the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park (IGZP) in Visakhapatnam.
According to IGZP, Sahari Konisi and Aryan Konisi, children of Anil and Swetha, adopted a gharial for one year by contributing ₹25,000, two Indian rock pythons for one year with a contribution of ₹10,000, and a macaw for one month for ₹240.
