Update (Friday, 11:45 a.m.) : A Barrie police spokesperson says the five-year-old boy and the woman struck in this morning's crash are listed in stable condition in Toronto hospitals.

The nine-year-old boy is in a local hospital with what are described as "non-life-threatening injuries."

Barrie police say the section of Mapleview Drive West that was closed this morning has reopened.
