Kalaburagi city police have arrested two men in connection with an alleged attempt to murder after they reportedly threatened staff at a bar and restaurant in Biddapur Colony with a fake pistol.

The accused have been identified as Syed Jilan (36) and Javed Patel (35), both residents of Iqbal Colony in the MSK Mill area of the city.

Police have seized the fake pistol allegedly used to threaten the complainant during the incident.

According to police, the incident occurred on July 22 when the accused were consuming food and alcohol in the bar. During their meal, they allegedly spat gutka inside the premises. When the bar owner’s brother objected to their behaviour, an argument broke out, which later escalated into a physical altercation.
