<p>Two people were arrested after police were called to a venue following an "altercation" in central Auckland last night. </p> <p>A police spokesperson said officers were called to Mercury Lane after a "report of disorder" between three people at around 7.10pm. </p> <p>"Two people were arrested near the scene and both transported to hospital with moderate injuries," police said. </p> <p>Footage from the scene showed multiple police officers, including detectives, on Mercury Lane. They were also in and around St Kevin's Arcade on Karangahape Rd. </p> <p>Medical equipment was visible on the ground. </p> <p>A 33-year-old man was charged with disorderly behaviour and possession of utensils for methamphetamine. A 28-year-old man was also charged with disorderly behaviour. </p> <p>Both will appear in the Auckland District Court today. </p> <p>The street where the incident occurred is just off Karangahape Rd, and comes days after <a href="https://www.1news.co.nz/2026/07/12/multiple-arrests-after-bar-fight-on-aucklands-kroad/" target="_blank">police responded to a fight at a busy bar</a>. </p> <p>Seven people were arrested following the Sunday morning incident. Six were released without charge, while one person was charged with assaulting police. </p>
