Certain individuals advertised that investments in online apps such as FQL and VJ would double within 45 days. Believing this, thousands of people from areas near Sivaganga such as Paiyur, Aiyampatti, Allur, Udayanathapuram, Karampatti, and Purasadaiudaippu invested amounts ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh.
