The ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has planned to hold a second meeting with its post-poll alliance partners in Chennai on September 9, a day after the conclusion of the ongoing Budget session of the Assembly, to discuss formalisation of the present arrangement as a political alliance.
The first meeting of the TVK’s post-poll partners was held at a private hotel in Chennai on July 1. Barring the two Left parties, top leaders of all other post-poll partners of the TVK, including the Congress, Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), held discussions with TVK president and Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay.
