TVK-led alliance named Secular Social Justice Victory Alliance

The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party has formed a new political alliance named the Secular Social Justice Victory Alliance (SSJVA). Led by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, the coalition includes several regional and national parties to contest upcoming bypolls in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

The post-poll alliance in Tamil Nadu led by the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), which includes the Congress, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) and Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK), has been named Secular Social Justice Victory Alliance (SSJVA).
The alliance was formally given the name at the second meeting of the TVK’s post-poll alliance partners held at the party headquarters in Panaiyur on the outskirts of Chennai on Wednesday (September 9, 2026). TVK president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay will be the chairperson of the alliance.
