TVK govt. has insulted voters by thrusting byelection, says Kanimozhi

The TVK government has slighted voters by thrusting byelection through “deceptive means”, DMK deputy general secretary and Thoothukudi MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi said on Monday (September 28, 2026), while campaigning for her party candidate S. Suganya.

“Where did the ₹50 crore (stated to be given for buying out erstwhile AIADMK MLA and TVK candidate Sathyabama) come from?,” Ms. Kanimozhi questioned.

The Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay is fixated on DMK is evident from his campaign speeches that has umpteen mention of the party’s name. But, the people were getting bored, Ms. Kanimozhi said, referring to the CM’s campaign speech in Madurantakam Constituency.

The DMK will not be cowed down by the repression of its leaders through “foisted cases” by the TVK government.
