TVK government will implement TAPS, assures Finance Minister

Finance Minister N. Marie Wilson confirmed that the government will implement the Tamil Nadu Assured Pension Scheme (TAPS). The scheme includes provisions for pension, gratuity, and family pension based on recommendations from a previous committee.

Minister for Finance N. Marie Wilson on Tuesday assured the Legislative Assembly that the State government would implement the Tamil Nadu Assured Pension Scheme (TAPS).
He said the previous DMK regime had formed a committee headed by IAS officer Gagandeep Singh Bedi in this regard, and the committee had recommended several measures, including three important ones — 50% of the last pay drawn as pension, gratuity, and family pension. The new government would definitely implement the scheme, he said.
