After years of hustling, TVB actor Dai Yiu Ming has bought his first home as a gift to his mum.
In an Instagram post on Aug 15, the 54-year-old, also known as Sunny, posted a photo with her in their new home.
He wrote in the caption: "Mum, this is a very expensive thing to me. But to put it in an old-fashioned way, there is only this life and no next life. Even if there is, we might not even meet again.
"You are in your 80s, but you have only lived in shacks and old public housing apartments."
Yiu Ming also recounted that his mum previously told him she had lived in an air-raid shelter during the war as a child and ate sweet potato leaves for meals, adding she could survive no matter how difficult life could be.
