The 54-year-old TVB star recently took to Instagram to share photos of the new home, including two snapshots of the view from the residence.
While Dai admitted that the purchase was "very expensive", he had no regrets.
"We only have this lifetime together. Even if there's a next life, we might not meet again," he wrote in the caption.
Dai revealed that his mother, who's now in her 80s, had spent most of her life living in shacks and old public housing flats.
He also praised her strength and resilience, recalling how she once told him about living in an air-raid shelter during the war, where she survived by picking sweet potato leaves to eat.
