Tungabhadra water being released, says Tangadagi
The Irrigation Advisory Committee has announced the release of water from the Tungabhadra reservoir to support agricultural needs in Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. The release schedule is based on current water availability and projected inflows.

Chairman of the Irrigation Advisory Committee and Koppal district in-charge Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi on Tuesday announced that water from the Tungabhadra reservoir was being released with immediate effect into various canals at the rate of 4,100 cusecs for 90 days, based on the water availability in the reservoir.
Speaking to reporters after the 126th meeting of the Tungabhadra project and Vijayanagara Canals Irrigation Advisory Committee, held at the TBP auditorium in Munirabad on Tuesday, Mr. Tangadagi said the reservoir currently had 82 tmcft of water and was expected to receive another 16 tmcft in the coming days.
The next meeting of the Irrigation Advisory Committee would be held on September 11, he said.
