Tulu translated work on freedom fighter Jatthappa Rai to be released on Oct. 8

The Kumbra Jatthappa Rai Foundation is set to release a Tulu translation of the biography of freedom fighter Jatthappa Rai on October 8. The event, held at University College in Mangaluru, will feature a seminar on Gandhi and world peace with guest speaker Shrikrishna Gajanana Kulkarni.

The Kumbra Jatthappa Rai Foundation in association with other organisations will release Gandhi Pajjeda Sadi Patthondu , the translated Tulu version of Aerya Lakshminarayana Alva-edited Gandhi Hejjeya Jadinalli Jatthappa Rai Jeevanagathe here on Thursday.
Foundation founder Pramod Kumar Rai told reporters here on Tuesday that the release would be followed by a seminar and a talk on “Gandhi and World Peace” by Shrikrishna Gajanana Kulkarni, great grandson of Mahatma Gandhi. The programme on freedom fighter Kumbra Jatthappa Rai, is being jointly organised with Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi-Bengaluru, University College-Mangaluru, Tulu Adhyayana Peetha, Mangalore University and others at the University College at 10.30 a.m.
