Tucker Carlson unveils vision for ‘what America should be’ amid third party talk
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has released a video outlining his vision for the United States, fueling speculation about a potential presidential run. He criticizes the two-party system and claims that American leaders have intentionally divided the public.
Why it matters
Carlson's shift toward third-party rhetoric and populist messaging signals a potential disruption in the traditional American political landscape.
Former Fox News pundit Tucker Carlson is fanning chatter he might consider a run for the White House with a new video laying out what he sees as wrong with the United States and outlining his plan to fix it.
During the nearly 100-minute video , Carlson, who owns his own media company and frequently hosts right-wing guests and controversial figures on a semiregular podcast, derided the two-party system, which he argued has failed American voters.
Carlson accused the federal government and leaders in both parties of "lying" to U.S. citizens and prioritizing the rights of immigrants who are in the country illegally over those of people born in the country.
He pitched an America he called more "optimistic" with leaders who "say the truth out loud" more frequently.
