TTD steps up preparations for Navaratri Brahmotsavams
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is in the final stages of preparing for the Navaratri Brahmotsavams, with officials reviewing arrangements for pilgrim services. They anticipate a 20% increase in devotees and are considering canceling VIP darshans, similar to a previous successful festival, to manage the rush.
Why it matters
This major religious festival attracts millions, and the TTD's preparations significantly impact pilgrim experience, local logistics, and the equitable access to darshan for ordinary devotees.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has begun the final round of preparations for the Navaratri Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara, with senior officials reviewing arrangements across key departments to ensure smooth darshan and pilgrim services during the nine-day festival.
TTD Executive Officer M. Ravichandra, along with Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary and other senior officials, reviewed the preparedness at a meeting held at Annamaiah Bhavan here on Monday. District Collector Venkateswar, Superintendent of Police Subbarayudu, TTD JEOs Sharath and Gopinath and CVSO Murali Krishna participated in the meeting.
The EO appreciated the coordinated efforts of various TTD departments, the police and other district agencies in ensuring the successful conduct of the Salakatla Brahmotsavams held from September 15 to 23. He asked officials and staff to maintain the same spirit of teamwork and coordination during the Navaratri Brahmotsavams.
