The conflict—which has claimed the lives of 18 U.S. servicemembers—reached the milestone with peace talks in tatters and no end in sight.

And yet the 80-year-old president has continued to insist that Tehran is defeated and its military has been decimated by the U.S. attacks.

The reality is that the war the president insisted on March 1 would be over in “four to five weeks” appears to have emboldened the Iranian regime even though most of its leadership was wiped out and its military took some major hits.
