Trump: Netanyahu Coming to Washington Next Week

UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese has called for an arms embargo on Israel, labeling recent violence in the West Bank as 'pogroms.' Meanwhile, ongoing military operations in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of several Hamas-affiliated officials and civilians.
Why it matters
The escalation of violence and the international call for sanctions highlight the deepening humanitarian crisis and the intensifying diplomatic pressure on the Israeli government.
UN Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories Francesca Albanese on Saturday described attacks on Palestinian civilians across the West Bank as "pogroms" and called for an immediate arms embargo and halt to trade with Israel.
"Pogroms against defenseless civilians all over the West Bank, while Gaza is under fire," Albanese wrote on X. She accused Israeli civilians and the army of "joining forces" in the attacks, arguing that responsibility did not lie only with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and "a few rotten apples."
@ FranceskAlbs · Follow POGROMS against defenseless civilians all over the West Bank (while Gaza is under fire). Israeli civilians and army joining forces. It is not just Nethanyahu and few "rotten apples". THIS IS ISRAEL ARMS EMBARGO NOW - STOP TRADE NOW This is what intl law requires.
