Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have dismantled an illegal arms manufacturing and supply syndicate linked to terrorist activities in Kebbi State.
In a statement, the Media Information Officer of Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Lt. Col. Aliyu Danja, said the operation was carried out by Sector 2 troops following credible intelligence, leading to the raid of a secluded compound allegedly used as a covert production and distribution hub for locally fabricated firearms.
During a thorough search of the premises, troops recovered five locally fabricated AK-47 rifles and arrested two suspected arms manufacturers and suppliers believed to be members of the illegal network.
