Tribal welfare school student dies of malaria in Eluru district of A.P.
A 12-year-old student at a tribal welfare school in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, has died due to malaria. The student suffered from a severe drop in platelet count before passing away during treatment.

A seventh class student, Madakam Nandini (12), of Kamayyakunta Tribal Welfare Girls Ashram School has died of malaria fever.
Nandini, a native of Puliramudugudem village in Buttaigudem mandal of Eluru district had been suffering from fever for the last few days.
The girl was admitted to K.R. Puram Primary Health Centre (PHC) and then to other hospitals in the Agency area. Later, she was shifted to a hospital in Koyyalagudem where she died while undergoing treatment on July 24, said P. Jagannadha Rao, Deputy Director, Eluru District Tribal Welfare Department.
