Photo Citizen TV/Rigathi Gachagua --> Citizen TV journalist Trevor Ombija has claimed that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua contacted Royal Media Services (RMS) management seeking his dismissal following a heated interview.

Ombija made the revelation on Friday, September 18, while addressing residents during his campaign for the Nyakach parliamentary seat ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The Monday Report and Day Break presenter said Gachagua sought to have him removed from the media company after the two clashed during an interview in March 2026.

“As I stand here to address you, the former Deputy President Gachagua once called for my dismissal from work because we confronted each other,” Ombija said.
