The midnight tragedy at Panampikkunnu, in which a car carrying eight students of PSNA College of Engineering and Technology in Dindigul rammed the rear of a parked goods lorry, has triggered fresh questions about inadequate warning systems, confusing diversions, illegal parking and speeding on one of Keralam’s busiest highways.
Local residents say as many as three accidents occured in the same spot in the last three days. As many as 23 lives were lost in the 10 years, they alleged.
