Transport Minister Byrathi Suresh expressed displeasure after finding that the Namma Clinic operating at the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus station in Majestic had no doctor during his surprise inspection on Monday (August 31).
Mr. Suresh immediately directed the BMTC managing director to coordinate with the Health Department Commissioner and ensure that a doctor is posted at the clinic without delay. He also instructed officials to provide first-aid facilities wherever required so that commuters can access immediate medical assistance during emergencies.
He made a surprise visit to the KSRTC and BMTC bus stations at Majestic and inspected passenger facilities, cleanliness and other services being provided to commuters.
