A training aircraft attached to the Redbird Flight Training Academy at Kalaburagi Airport made an emergency landing in an agricultural field, near the airport, along Sedam Road on the outskirts of Kalaburagi city on Tuesday evening, reportedly after developing a technical snag.
No casualties were reported in the incident. Two trainee pilots were said to be on board the aircraft at the time of the emergency landing.
According to preliminary information, the aircraft developed a technical problem while flying near the airport. Acting swiftly, the pilots managed to make a safe landing.
The incident occurred in the limits of the Madbool Police Station. Residents rushed to the spot after noticing the aircraft in the agricultural field.
