A trailer driver caused a near-miss involving a bus and a car in Jurong on Friday (Sept 4) after running a red light along Jurong Port Road.

Dashcam footage of the incident shared with SG Road Vigilante and posted on its Facebook shows the trailer turning onto Corporation Road from Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim at about 12pm.

As the light turns red along Corporation Road, other vehicles are seen slowing down and coming to a stop.

The trailer driver, however, did not stop.

His action caused the trailer to nearly collide with the bus and a black saloon car that were moving off.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported and a collision was avoided, as the trailer driver swerved in time and both the Tower Transit bus and car drivers managed to stop before impact.
