A committee headed by District Collector Chetan Kumar Meena has completed its inspections as part of the process of formulating a plan to address the traffic woes in Kottayam town. In the second phase of the exercise, the committee carried out site visits at key locations, including Caritas Junction, Sankranthi, Kumaranallur, Choottuveli, SH Mount, and Nagampadam along the MC Road on Monday. Prior to this, inspections were conducted at Thiruvathukkal and Erayilkadavu, as well as in the stretch from Chingavanam to Pulimood Junction and in Kanjikuzhi. Mr. Meena said a preliminary report based on these inspections would be prepared shortly.
