Traffic restrictions on Chittur bridge in Kerala’s Palakkad
The Chittur river bridge in Palakkad, Kerala, will undergo repairs from September 5 to November 2, leading to traffic diversions. The project will also cause temporary disruptions to the local drinking water supply.

Traffic restrictions will be in place on Chittur river bridge on the Thattamangalam-Nattukal road from September 5 to November 2 for repair work.
Vehicles heading to Chittur should use Peruvambu junction-Palathully bridge or Thattamangalam Ambattupalayam junction-Meenakshipuram- Vilayodi-Vandithavalam routes. Pedestrians will be allowed on the bridge.
The work will also disrupt drinking-water supply on alternate days for three days in some wards of Chittur-Thattamangalam municipality as pipes will be temporarily removed.
