Traffic diversions in place near Kasimedu Signal for 15 days
The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board is replacing damaged sewer lids near the Kasimedu Signal. Traffic diversions for buses, heavy vehicles, and light motor vehicles will be in effect for 15 days starting October 1.

Local infrastructure maintenance is essential for public safety, though it will cause significant temporary traffic disruptions for commuters in Chennai.
The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) has proposed to replace damaged sewer lids at S.N. Chetty Road and Jeevarathinam Salai Junction (Near Kasimedu Signal).
To facilitate the same, the following traffic diversion arrangements will be implemented from October 1 for a period of 15 days.
Buses and heavy vehicles heading to Ennore via S.N. Chetty Road and Jeevarathinam Salai Signal Junction (outgoing side) will be diverted to Jeevarathinam Salai and through V.P. Kovil Street-T.H Road-T.H. Road Toll Gate Junction to reach their destination.
Two-wheelers and Light Motor Vehicles heading towards Ennore via S.N. Chetty Road and Jeevarathinam Salai Signal Junction (outgoing side) will be diverted to Jeevarathinam Salai. From there, they must take left and a right to V.P. Kovil Street and a left from Metro pillar 12 on T.H Road onto Balakrishna Street to reach their destination.
