Traffic diversions will be in place at Tellapur from August 22 to facilitate the construction of a storm-water drain along the Nallagandla-Tellapur Road, Cyberabad Traffic Police said on Friday.

The works, being taken up by the civic authorities from SBI Bank to MM Wine Mart at Tellapur, are aimed at addressing waterlogging at the SBI Tellapur junction during heavy rainfall. One side of the road at SBI Tellapur will be closed for about 24 days, with traffic being regulated on the opposite available side.

Vehicles travelling from Nallagandla Circle towards Tellapur, Osman Nagar and ORR Exit-2 via SBI Tellapur will be diverted for about 300 metres between the SBI Tellapur U-turn and MM Wines U-turn. Traffic movement is expected to be slow along the stretch.

Vehicles travelling from Nallagandla towards Osman Nagar and Kollur can instead take the Nallagandla Circle-Neo Mall-Gopanpally X Road-Aliens Junction-Osman Nagar-ORR service road route towards Kollur.
