Traffic diversions will be enforced in Erode from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday (September 17) in view of the Vinayaka Chaturthi immersion procession.

A release from the district police said buses, heavy vehicles and goods vehicles coming from Salem, Tiruchengode and Namakkal via Pallipalayam should proceed through Pallipalayam and Kumarapalayam to Bhavani Road, and reach the Erode bus stand. Alternatively, they can proceed through S.P.B. Colony, Paper Mill, Ponni Sugars and Vendipalayam to reach Solar, Annamar Petrol Bunk and Kalaimagal Statue, and then proceed to the bus stand.

Buses from Coimbatore and Tiruppur via Perundurai should proceed through Thindal, Kaniravuthar Kulam and Sathy Road. Heavy vehicles from Perundurai towards Tiruchengode and Namakkal should take Erode Outer Ring Road, Anakalpalayam and Parisal Thurai Junction.
