The Coimbatore City Police on Wednesday (September 16) announced traffic diversions to facilitate processions for the immersion of Vinayaka idols in Muthannankulam on Thadagam Road on Friday (September 18). Movement of heavy vehicles and trucks is prohibited within the city between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday.

Vehicles that normally ply from Ukkadam to Perur via Oppanakara Street, Vysial Street, Chetty Street, and Shivalaya junction should pass through Perur bypass, Ashok Nagar roundabout, Selvapuram Government Higher Secondary School junction and Shivalaya junction to proceed further.

Vehicles heading from Gandhipuram and Town Hall toward Vysial Street or Sullivan Street must turn right at Ukkadam police station roundabout and proceed on Perur bypass, Ashok Nagar roundabout, Selvapuram Government Higher Secondary School junction and continue via Shivalaya junction to proceed further.
