The Coimbatore City Police have announced comprehensive traffic diversions and vehicle parking restrictions across key roads on Wednesday, September 16, in view of the ceremonial immersion of Vinayaka idols.

The first procession carrying Ganesha idols from Dharmaraja Temple premises at Kuniyamuthur will start at noon. It will pass through Palakkad Road to reach Kuniyamuthur tank for immersion. The second procession from Sarada Mill Road at Podanur will start at 2 p.m. After assembling at Sangam Street, it will pass via Sundarapuram and Pollachi Road to reach Kurichi tank for immersion.

Movement of heavy vehicles and trucks is strictly banned within Coimbatore city limits between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
