Traffic diversions have been introduced in Anthiyur from Monday (August 10, 2026) ahead of the annual festival at the Arulmigu Gurunathaswamy Temple at Pudupalayam, scheduled to be held from August 12 to 16.
According to a release issued by the district police, heavy vehicles will be diverted from August 10 to facilitate the movement of devotees and prevent traffic congestion during the festival. Heavy vehicles travelling from Namakkal, Erode and Bhavani towards Karnataka via Annamaduvu and Anthiyur will be diverted through Annamaduvu, Patlur Four Roads, Vellithiruppur and Moolakadai.
