Traffic diversions announced as L’Étape Mysuru event set to draw hundreds of cyclists

Mysuru City Police have issued traffic diversions for the upcoming L’Étape Mysuru cycling event. Motorists are advised to avoid specific routes on Sunday morning to accommodate the race.
Why it matters
Public awareness of traffic changes is essential for city management during large-scale sporting events.
With hundreds of cyclists expected to descend on Mysuru for the Indian edition of L’Étape Mysuru, a world-renowned cycling series, the Mysuru City Police have issued a traffic advisory ahead of the event on Sunday.
Organised by NEB Sports in association with the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports and Karnataka Tourism, the cycling event will be flagged off from the Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple near the North Gate of the iconic Mysuru Palace at 6 a.m.
As the event will pass through several roads in and around the city between 6 a.m. and 10.30 a.m., the City Police have advised motorists to avoid the race route and use alternative roads wherever possible.
