Sri Venkateshwara College of Paramedical Sciences organised a traffic awareness programme at the campus as part of the inaugural of its first-year allied health sciences programme.
In her address, Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic D. Divya highlighted the importance of responsible road behaviour, wearing helmet, avoiding mobile phone while driving and following speed regulations, the college said in a release.
The SSP urged the students to play an important role in promoting road safety practices in the community. Responsible driving and following road safety rules are important to prevent road accidents, she said.
