Track renewal works to affect train services on July 21

The Railways announced changes in train services on July 21 to facilitate track renewal and maintenance at the Karur Railway Yard.
A release from the Salem Railway Division said that Train No. 56809 Tiruchi–Erode Passenger, scheduled to leave Tiruchi Junction at 7.25 a.m., will be short-terminated at Karur Junction. The train will operate only between Tiruchi and Karur and will not run from Karur to Erode.
Train No. 16845 Erode–Sengottai Express, scheduled to depart Erode Junction at 2 p.m., will originate from Karur Junction at 3.05 p.m. and will not operate between Erode and Karur.
Train No. 56106 Erode–Tiruchi Passenger, scheduled to leave Erode Junction at 8.05 a.m., will be short-terminated at Murthipalayam railway station. It will operate only between Erode and Murthipalayam and will not run onwards to Tiruchi Junction.
