Well, the very least you can say is that it was an improved performance to last week. Tottenham hosted Newcastle in their first home match of the season on Saturday, but unfortunately the match ended up going the way most home matches went last season — with a loss. Spurs played Newcastle pretty even but failed to convert their chances, and conceded two second half goals to Anthony Elanga and Yoane Wissa en route to a 0-2 loss in what was Omar Marmoush's Spurs debut.
