The Toronto Blue Jays have traded outfielder Daulton Varsho to the Houston Astros in exchange for right-handed pitcher Spencer Arrighetti and cash considerations, it was announced Monday. Varsho, 29, has hit .243 with seven home runs and 26 runs batted in across 99 games this season. The center fielder entered this season in the final year of arbitration and is set to become a free agent at the end of the campaign. Varsho was originally acquired by the Blue Jays in exchange for top catching prospect Gabriel Moreno and Lourdes Gurriel ahead of the 2023 campaign.
