A local court in Meerut on Wednesday (October 14, 2026) sentenced Muskan Rastogi and her partner Sahil Shukla to death in the high-profile ‘Blue Drum’ murder case. Muskan allegedly murdered her husband, Saurabh Rastogi, with the help of Shukla on March 3, 2025. According to the case details, the victim was first rendered unconscious using sedatives. The accused then allegedly dismembered his body, placed the remains inside a blue plastic drum and sealed it with cement to conceal the crime.

The Supreme Court of India agreed to intervene on behalf of Delhi’s voters whose names were deleted from the electoral roll pursuant to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) , and the Election Commission of India is now effectively asking them to misrepresent themselves as fresh applicants by filling out Form 6 to restore their names to the voter list.
