Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (September 13, 2026) warned against the “weaponisation” of technology and critical minerals and also spoke about various BRICS initiatives agreed upon during the Summit in New Delhi to strengthen supply chains and increase resilience against supply-chain disruptions, pandemics, and climate disasters.
As BRICS chair, India focused on four pillars : resilience, innovation, cooperation, and sustainability, PM Modi said today during his address on the second day of the BRICS Summit 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Mr. Modi added that the Global South’s confidence in BRICS has increased, adding that rising tensions in the world are having a significant negative impact on the lives of ordinary people.
