Tooro elders speak up on Oyo’s succession dispute

The Tooro Elders Forum has backed the decision of the Babiito royal clan to name Prince Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma as the successor to the late Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.
In a statement issued on Friday 11th as Tooro prepares to bury Oyo on Saturday, September 12, the Isaazi Ly'Abantu Bakuru Ba Tooro (Tooro Elders Forum) said it supports the work of the 21-member succession committee, the process through which it arrived at its decision and the recommendations arising from its deliberations.
