A one-and-a-half-year-old boy drowned after falling into a lake at the back of his house at Karaimedu in Nagapattinam district on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Sai Alvin, son of Vinoth.
According to police sources, the incident occurred around 2 p.m. The boy’s parents rushed him to the Nagapattinam Government Hospital, where he was declared dead.
