Two persons, including an 18-month-old boy, were killed and four others injured when an ambulance hit a tipper parked on the roadside in Vijayawada on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Chodan (30), the second driver of the ambulance, and the 18-month-old boy.
The accident occurred when Raj Kumar and his wife, Balwanth Mamari, from Jharkhand, were taking their son to Chennai in the ambulance for treatment.
Another ambulance driver and family members of Mr. Raj Kumar sustained injuries in the accident. The police registered a case and launched an investigation.
