Todd & Julie Chrisley hit with $1.57M IRS lien after Trump pardon
Reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley have been hit with a $1.57 million federal tax lien by the IRS for unpaid taxes from 2021 and 2022. This financial development is separate from their previous criminal fraud convictions, for which they were pardoned by Donald Trump in 2025.
Why it matters
It illustrates the distinction between presidential pardons for criminal convictions and ongoing civil financial obligations to federal tax authorities.
Reality TV personalities Todd Chrisley and wife Julie are facing renewed financial scrutiny after the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filed a federal tax lien of approximately $1.57 million against them in Davidson County, Tennessee. The development comes more than a year after US President Donald Trump granted the couple a presidential pardon in connection with their high-profile federal fraud and tax evasion convictions.According to Page Six, which reported the development after reviewing public records, the lien was filed on August 19, 2026. The assessments relate to unpaid taxes for two separate periods, covering 2021 and 2022.The new tax development has drawn attention because the couple’s earlier convictions had resulted in prison sentences before Trump’s intervention in May 2025.
